About this Internship

Restorative circles are powerful processes that bring people together to address harm, build understanding, and strengthen relationships. This internship offers a unique opportunity to explore the impact of these circles and translate them into a compelling visual narratives. You will research restorative circle principles, observe live circles (if feasible), and develop a concept for a graphic novel or similar visual format that captures the essence and emotional impact of these experiences. Additionally, you will also create social media content with the existing qualitative data on the restorative circles.

Instructions

1. Research what restorative circles are, their purpose, key principles, and typical interactions and outcomes, focusing on the emotional impact. (Information is available on https://csjindia.org/). 2. Brainstorm a few powerful moment or short story ideas that could occur within a restorative circle, considering themes like conflict resolution, empathy, repairing harm, community, and sharing perspectives. 3. If possible, observe one or more restorative circles conducted by the CSJ team. 4. For some of the stories, develop a visual narrative concept, deciding on the format (e.g., comic strip, illustrations, pop culture references), describing key visuals, briefly outlining characters' roles, and suggesting any accompanying text or dialogue. Or simply create blogs on success stories and interventions by CSJ. 5. Within this document the conversation between government officials and children. 6. Keep the language simple and jargon free. 7. Use tools like Canva etc. to create strong visual impact of these stories on social media. 8. During internship, pick any one fundraising quest of CSJ and fundraise using the existing or new communication material. Resources: https://csjindia.org/

Requirements

1. Hybrid internship for two months. 2. Candidate is expected to dedicate 18-20 hours per week. 3. You are expected to have a functional laptop of your own. 4. Good communication and writing skills in Hindi and English is a must for this assignment. 5. Proficiency in using research databases, social media platforms, MS Ofifice. 6. You are expected to share your resume with all details including birthdate, phone number, email ID, college and any other projects/internships undertaken in the past.

Objective

This internship will culminate in the creation of visual materials that can be used to communicate the value of restorative circles and potentially for fundraising efforts.
